SRM: Can a Protected site be a Recovery site at the same time.

SRM: Can a Protected site be a Recovery site at the same time? In other words, if I have 1/2 my VMs at one site and 1/2 at the other, can they each be the Protected and Recovery site for the VMs at the opposite site?  Active/Active configuration?

yes this is possible, just configure partial from A site to B site and the other as B site to A site.

Hi,

Yes, active / active, or bi-directional protection, is valid and fully supported scenario.

Make sure you have enough resources to run both "local" and recovered machines at each site.

As you have already heard, this is fully supported.  But, more importantly, I also strongly recommand this configuration.  If you have half of your important VM's at Site A, and half at Site B, than you will lose at most half of your virtual machines, and take less time to recovery them.  This is a very positive thing.  Some people do call this an active / active configuration since therre are virtual machines running at both sides.
