"Operation timed out" while protecting a VM

When trying to configure protection on a VM in SRM 4.1 and every time I do it fails with the error "Operation timed out" and I see in the following error in the Site Recovery Manager log:

2010-09-21 14:07:29.502 04584 verbose 'PropertyProvider' RecordOp ASSIGN: info.error, com.vmware.vcDr.ReplicationGroup.AddVmTask-153

2010-09-21 14:07:29.502 04584 verbose 'com.vmware.vcDr.ReplicationGroup.AddVmTask-Task' Error set to (vim.fault.Timedout) {

dynamicType = <unset>,

faultCause = (vmodl.MethodFault) null,

msg = "",

}

2010-09-21 14:07:29.502 04584 verbose 'PropertyProvider' RecordOp ASSIGN: info.completeTime, com.vmware.vcDr.ReplicationGroup.AddVmTask-153

2010-09-21 14:07:29.502 04584 info 'com.vmware.vcDr.ReplicationGroup.AddVmTask-Task' State set to error

2010-09-21 14:07:29.502 04584 verbose 'PropertyProvider' RecordOp ASSIGN: info.state, com.vmware.vcDr.ReplicationGroup.AddVmTask-153

2010-09-21 14:07:29.502 04584 verbose 'PropertyProvider' RecordOp REMOVE: addVmsTaskList, group-4425'

Does anyone have any insight into what this alarm is telling me and how to resolve it?

Thanks.

I have seen this issue after repairing the SRM installation. Restarting both SRM servers solved the problem.

In your case, is it fresh installation or have you done "repair" recently?

This is a fresh install of SRM. I rebooted the SRM servers anyway and it fixed the problem.

Thanks.
