When we reboot the SRM server the SRM service fails to start and it seems to be because the VCPdiscovery and vcpcollector service sets the cpu to 100% so SRM fails to start
anyone else having this issue ?
These are part of the VMware Capacity Planner services.
Do you use this host for VMware Guided Consolidation tasks ?
If not you can set this service ( VMware Capacity Planner ) to Manual
Is ther anything else installed on this machine? What kind of arrays are you using? The "vcp collector" and "vcp discovery" processes are not part of the SRM service itself, but may be part of an array vendor SRA installation. Have you ever been able to start the SRM service on this machine? Have you tried any other machines?
