Hi guys,
I am looking forward to learn about Basic NetApp Configuration and Administration but i can't find any books in online and moreover no institute is providing the training for NetApp directly. Plz suggest me the preferred sources to get more info about NetApp.
Thanks,
M
I'd suggest that you're more likely to find what you're looking for on netapp.com rather than vmware.com
I did a quick google search for "netapp training" and found this: https://communities.netapp.com/community/netapp_university/getting_started
offers NetApp classes
If you are a NetApp partner or customer you will also have access to their simulator.
https://communities.netapp.com/docs/DOC-1034
As already advised by Scott the NetApp communities would probably the best point of contact for documentation as well.
This is by far the best free document you will find to familiarize yourself with the various fundamental technologies on offer:
http://www.netapp.com/us/system/pdf-reader.aspx?m=ncda-cert-study-guide.pdf&cc=us
As already mentioned, grab yourself a copy of the simulator and then work through the topics in this PDF.
2 x sim, 1 x windows, 1 x linux and you can have some fun!
Although its rolled into a single exam now (for 7 Mode) the topics were all still relevant when I did my NCDA on DOT 8 if you are looking at getting this certification.
I looked at books available to purchase at the time but I dont think there is a big enough market for them tbh.
You get some pretty good books from the courses which I used together with the above PDF for my cert.
I can recommend both these courses from experience:
Data ONTAP 7-Mode Fundamentals
Accelerated NCDA Boot Camp Data ONTAP 7-Mode
Good luck!
