Missing drivers for the ESX 3.5

Hello, I am attempting to install the evaluation version of Virtual Infrastructure, but there are no drivers for the machine I am attempting to install the evaluation version on. The test machine is a Dell 1521 Inspiron (Dual Core AMD version), and the installer cannot find a compatible ethernet driver or storage driver. Is there a way to import a kernel module into the installation process, if so, how do I go about building them? Thanks in advance for any responses.

There is no way of getting unsupported devices running.

You'll need to add some supported hardware to get it working.

I think about any 3com, intel or broadcom nic might work.

For storage, try changing the BIOS to get the controller running in 'compatible' mode, or whatever name they're giving it on your machine.

Onboard SATA RAID controllers will probably not work, try disabling the RAID feature (if possible)

If that doesn'twork, you'd best try to get your hands on some SCSI controller and disk

3com NICs don't work with ESX 3.5.

that's one more to scratch from the list then.

They used to work in previous versions
