I have downloaded the 3.5 iso and burned many versions of it to cd. When I attempt to install on my machine I get the following error: CDBOOT: couldn't find ntldr.
I do not know if this is an issue with the iso or where I am getting the boot image. I have been using the bootdisk.img to create the boot file.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Lol. Yes I do!
I told you I'd be back. First experience with Linux.
Goes through some boot sequence (after install) and stops with the following:
BusyBox v0.60.5 (2007.10.10-06:09+0000) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands
sh: can't access tty: job control off

Am I missing something?
Was this an ESXi 3.5 install (i.e. the "free" hypervisor, boots to a gray and yellow screen) vs ESX 3.5?
I woudl bet that you machine is trying to boot from your local disks and NOT the ESX CD. I would recreate your arrays and clear all disks (int the disks). This will clear all boot pointers and leave you in good shape. Also go into the BIOS and make sure that you machine is set to boot from the CD-ROM first and then the array.
Try this and I would bet you will be good.
Cheers,
