AX4.-5 SAN gives the unregistered error after ESX 3.5 reboot .....URGENT

Urgent Please…Today, we had to shut down Two ESX3.5 hosts due to some maintenance, but restraining the this two esx host does not connect to SAN. We restarted SAN too but ASX4 Navishpere SAN shows following message

“Some server connections that are registered with storage system are now inactive”

Hi

Have you checked your zoning on your switches and your hosts groups settings on your SAN are all still correct.

What maintenance did you perform on your ESX hosts , did you replace the HBA's at all ? if you did you'll need to rezone your switches with the new WWN's of the HBA's. And also modify your array host group settings.

Hi David,

Thanks for the response, it turns out the issue was with the brocade switches on our BladeCentre (where the ESX servers are), and this has now been identified and we have returned to normal.
