Alert on a Task?

I tried searching for this figuring I probably wasnt the only one curious about this, but came up empty handed.

Is there a way to set an alert or an email sent when a specific task occurs? Such as if some does a storage Vmotion, etc.

Directly in VC no.

You can send email on alarm triggers, but not on task triggers.

You have to create a script to parse your log file and generate the email.

Or try to see if those task generate a SNMP trap.
