Diconnecting from Host

I have a few templates that say disconnected in VC. I have an idea what i need to do but if i restart teh service or Disconnect teh host in Vcenter is that going to shut odwn my vm's or give me fits. Just trying to be cautious. I'm still in hte learning stages. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Restarting hostd usually does the trick

service mgmt-vmware restart

Disconnecting your host from vCenter is not going to power off your VM's - however I doubt it will resolve your issue

Can i assume that won't cause any issues with my vm's?? Do i need to do this on both hosts or just the one the template is on? Thanks for the reply.

There was a known issue that has now been resolved with a hotfix if running 3.5, however if you are running Update 1, 2 or 3 you will be fine.
