ESX 3.5 doesn't see RAID Array

I've configured a simple box with a Promise FastTrack TX2300 SATA RAID controller for evaluating ESX, it has two Seagate 80gb drives configured for Striping (needed the extra space), however, when I go to install ESX, it sees the two physical drives - not the RAID array.

Both the BIOS and the FastTrack RAID utility see the array and report it as functional, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Any help is appreciated.

This card is a software RAID card, and as such will not be a RAID device under ESX.

Welcome to the forums - it does not appear that RAID card is on the Hardware Compatability List - http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi35_io_guide.pdf - you might only be able to use this card to access the individual drives

Thanks guys

weinstein5: I checked this list and found the card on there - http://www.vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/Hardware_support.php. Guess it's better to check the official one though.
