ESX server Maximum RAM

Hi ,

We have esx server 3.5 with ESX server foundation edition license. I am planning to upgrade RAM from 8 GB to 32GB. I know there are some free slots on hardware but not sure about RAM limitation for ESX server foudnation edition license.

Can someone please help.

Does the kind of license play any part in deciding the amount of Maximum RAM? or it is only for features.
