I'm a newbie. I just want to give a word of encouragement to all those souls who need to test and train on incompatible hardware

This was my maiden voyage for an ESX installation and after an evening and full morning wrestling with the dreaded PSOD, I am now successfully running ESX 3.5 (latest build as of 7/19/2009). Now comes the real work.......
I just want to give a little encouragement out there to people like me....
Config:
IBM eServer xSeries 225 (8647-3BX)
Last published version of BIOS 1.51c - This did the trick, PSOD all day long on previous version. Also with new BIOS, I'm using all default settings.
2) 2.4Ghz Xeon
4GB RAM
ServeRAID 6M - running last published version (v7.12) for this model.
4) 73GB - in RAID 5 (210GB usable).
To any expert out there, would you recommend good books, manuals, or PDFs on getting started? Any and all suggestions are welcome.
