NetApp NFS advanced config question

Hi,

According to Netapp & Vmware White Paper the best practice for NFS timeout settings is :

NFS.HeartbeatFrequency = 12

NFS.HeartbeatMaxFailures = 10

NFS.HeartbeatTimeout = 5

After apply these settings in case of failure of the NFS Datastore an ESX server will have2 minutes and 8 seconds befor declare that NFS DataStore as lost and disconnected.

By defaut an ESX has 35 seconds. My question is : where is the informations stored during these 2min8sec? And which size of this "cache"?

Thanks in advance for your answers
