Slow file upload/transfer time

Hi Guys,

I noticed the file transfer time is very much slower on the new VM server compared to my old physical server. It is not a one time upload issue - tested with other files, and the upload time holds true. Tested when I was connected to office LAN (not via VPN).

It is also noticeably slower even for files transfered between two VMs in same site. Such transfers used to take seconds or at most 1-2 min to transfer even 1GB however now it is taking hours.

Could anyone you help me to provide some hints to fix this issue?

What are source and target filesystems...Local or SAN

Use IO Meter to check if it a local issue

This sounds like a networking problem outside of ESX. I would check your networking configuration to make sure there isn't a duplex mismatch between your source and target.
