hi all,
there are 2ways of backup by VCB.
these are image level backup and file level backup.
Image level backup offer full backup,
how about file level backup?
we can also full backup by VCB file level backup?
there are two types indeed:
full = image level = just like a ghost image
file = can best be compared as backing up a network drive from your own workstation, you can do a full backup of all the files, but it's not the the same as an image level backup

Since you already gave Duncan the points, I am going to chime in with some more info and a shameless plug:

Also, take a look at http://viops.vmware.com for "Proven Practice" documents detailing how to set it up.
