I'm building out a new vmware VCB server for my vmware environment. I'm confused on the best way to handle multipathing.
Currently,
I have the VCB server zoned to all 8 ports on my filers. I only have
one of my vmware cluster luns presented to the VCB server for testing
purposes.
In device manager, I see 8 NetApp disk devices with the following ID's:
Bus, Target, LUN
0,2,16
0,3,16
0,4,16
0,5,16
0,0,16
0,1,16
0,2,16
0,3,16
Should I just manually disable 7 of the devices? How do I determine which one is going over a primary path?
Thanks in advance..
Jason
VCB 1.5 supports MPIO. Just install the MPIO driver from NetApp.

Careful. We don't want to learn from this.
