upgrading from esx 3.5 to 4.0

Is it possible to upgrade from esx3.5 to 4.0 in the same manner as it is possible to upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1? i.e using the pre upgrade and actual upgrade files?

nope, as to upgrade from 3.5 to 4.0, u would need to install from stretch
