I am attempting to install ESXi on a dual core P4 with 2GB of ram. However the installer fails and says it dopes not have enough memory.

The system has found a problem with your machine and can not continue

Not enough memory (512MB required)

Ther IS enough memory, 2GB to be exact.

what type of server is it? check the Bios settings, you may find there is an OS Install option in the bios that limits the memory that can be seen during installation but usually this is found on older equipment.
