Update Manager setup question

Hello

I'm following manaul to setup UM, the manaul descripted the following:

Connect the vSphere Client to a vCenter Server system with which Update Manager is registered, and click

Update Manager under Solutions and Applications on the Home page.

I can't see Update Manager on the Home page.

After installing the Update Manager on your Virtual Center Server, you have to install the plug-in on the PC running the Client.

Connect to the Virtual Center Server, select Plugins --> Managed Plugins... and then "Download and Install.." on the "Available" tab.

After the Plugin is installed select the "Installed" tab and enable the plugin.

I also want to know is required install UM to use Update Manager? I don't know where can use the Update Manager.

And where is "insalled" tab?

A: UM is an application which integrates with Virtual Center Server. You have to install it in order to use it.

Q: I don't know where can use the Update Manager.

A: You can use Update Manager to update ESX hosts and certain virtual machine OS's (see UM Guide)

Q: where is "insalled" tab?

A: It's next to the "Available" tab in the Plugin dialog.
