VM Server 1.0 to Server ESXi 3.5

I am having a problem (maybe I don't know how) to transfer all the VM Server 1.0.5 VM images into the ESXi 3.5

In ESXi 3.5 interface, I only can create a new VM or import VM Applicances. I don't know how to transfer the exciting VM image to ESXi. Someone can help me?

you can use the vmware converter enterprise edition which come with the virtual center servers. You can also try the free starter edition which you can download from vmware website.

can you tell me or point the URL to me about the download?

The one you talking about is VMWare Studio, isn't it?

Thanks for you help. I success to convert to ESXi format. Now, the problem is the ESXi, it seems only support VM4 format.

If so, I have a few questions.

(1) VM4 is only support 3.5GB of RAM, isn't it?

(2) VM4 is not support 2 pocessor for the guest o/s

(3) VM4 doesn't support 64bits guest?

I have a Guest o/s running Server 2008 x64 + exchange 2007 on it. I need 8GB RAM ans 2 processors assign to the guest. Is it possible to run it on ESXi 3.5?

1. ESXi supports up to 64GB of RAM

2. ESXi supports 2 CPU

3. ESXi supports 64-bit guests

If you have problem with converted virtual machine try to edit the settings or just delete vmx file and make another virtual machine with the same virtual disk (vmdk)
