Warning in event log for 3i Installable hosts

I get this on the hour for each 3i Installable host I have (four total) All HP DL380 G5'. Currently the G5's are in experimental support for 3i Installable but I wanted to blame it on that after a reasonable line of troubleshooting first.

Event:

"Issue detected on esxprodserver in MyDataCenter: Grep failure during backup, boot.cfg may be missing state.tgz on modules line."

Any thoughts

I have the same error in my syslog:

ALERT: Grep failure during backup, boot.cfg may be missing state.tgz on modules line

I don't seem to have any problems, but it is annoying to keep getting the error.

I have the error as well. Have been running 3i since January without issue.

I have the same errors. Running esx 3i installable 3.5.0 76563 in development environment on IBM x346 8840-11U server. Everything seems to be working fine though.

This is due to a faulty test in the backup script. The alert is spurious and can be safely ignored.

We are having the same issue except it is on bootup and now the 3i box will not boot.

Any ideas on troubleshooting?

Thanks,

Rick

Can you give some more details? Where in the boot process does the host stop?

What changed before this happened?
