I am trying to use vmware server to automate testing of our program "install code" in multiple Windows configurations running in different virtual machines.
Is anyone using vmware server automation for testing? Is there a way to use vbscript to automate the vmware server api?
It is very confusing in the forums. I can't seem to figure out what is being used to automate vnware server. VIX api? VIXcom? (which is what or found where?)
Here is what I want to do:
- Start vmware server
- open vm1, wait for it to completly start, When my tests are complete - write a file to the host, api now read file complete and
- open vm2, repeat steps above
- open vm3, repeat
ect
ect
Any help would be very much appreciated.
