Upgrade Problems

Hello,

I just updated yesterday to vmworkstation/vix 6.0.3. First, I couldn't connect to host, but found that if I set the vix_api_version equal back to 2, then I could connect, login, and poweron the vm.

However, code that worked before, i.e., VixVM_CopyFileFromHostToGuest no longer works.

I am using the vix.lib, and linking to ws-2 libraries, which is what I had originally working. Trying to use vixallproducts.lib and linking with ws-5 seems to add more problems. Gosh...I really don't want to start bitching and moaning about how poorly this software api upgrade is, but it is really frustrating.

Any ideas what is going on?

I semi-solved my own problem. I switched from using the "vix.lib," to using the "vixallproducts.lib," and I can poweron, loginintoguest, suspend, and poweroff.

However, when I use the VixVM_CopyFileFromHostToGuest, nothing gets copied over. This code was previously working before I upgraded to vmworkstation 6.0.3.
