VRA 7.3 VRO 7.3 How to get VirtualMachine.NetworkN.Address in DHCP environment

I am using VRA 7.3 and built VRO for VM provisioning in DHCP environment. When sending a paylod value of VirtualMachine.NetworkN.Address property is set to null since the DHCP involvement. Kindly help me to get the IP address of the first NIC.

Thanks,

Partha

Once the VM has been deployed and started you can get the vCenter Virtual Machine object and from there get the current IP address and once you have that you can update the value in vRA using the property you listed

Thank you very much SBeaver! I am trying to configure it now. Do we have any documentation on VCVM?

VC:VirtualMachine is the object name for a vCenter virtual machine.  You can find the tree on the vRO   You can create a workflow to make the update and configure it as a subscription.  Mine is a little different in that I get and set static the next IP and after the entry is made in the 3rd party system I make the updates in vRA.  Most everything in my process will trigger subscription events

Hi SBeaver,

Thanks again for your time. I am trying to setup the same in my POC.

BTW, the IP address is required for CMDB registration.

I hope the failed subscription event will fail the provision as well. So that it works as per our requirement.

Thanks,

Partha
