Question :

I have been told the guest agent has been deprecated, is this true?  Trying to figure out how to complete adding drives in vRA form without the agent?

Hi,

From what is written in the official document, from version 7.6 it is supported only for Windows Server 2016 and 2019

The guest agent (gugent) as it existed in 7.x is gone in 8.x (replaced with cloud-init). It is alive and well in all versions up through 7.6 as pointed out in the previous reply.
