vRA 8 Cross VM Cloning

I wanted to create a service catalog item for users to be able to request a cross VM cloning.(vSphere)

And I have few ideas to how to do it, But I'm not sure if they're possible.

1. I think that I need to create an Orchestrator workflow to Get an IP address from vRA IPAM then run a Powershell script to Cross VM cloning. Use the IP address that I got from IPAM with VM Customization and use it on the VM so that it will get a IP. Get the name of the VM and onboard it to the deployment user created.

2. After a bit of googling I see that people are using "imageRef:" to clone. So I believe that I have to create a snapshot of the vm and put the snapshot in the ImageMappings. And then it will start cloning.

If anyone has an experience with cloning using vRA that'll be great help. Thanks in advance.

vRA version: 8.8

vCenter version: 7.0.3d

Also how would I create the UI for the users to select the VM for the users in Service Catalog? Would I need to write a custom Orchestrator action/workflow to do it? I want it to look like the Onboarding Select Machines UI.
