Batch update ESXi root pw's

Need to update the root passwords on multiple environments. I've dug through vRO 8.x and googled it, but I can't seem to find a way to update the root password of our ESXi 7.0 servers. I have found a small powercli script that might work, but I can't seem to find a way to get a resource item that has a list of our environments. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.

Hi wwsj1967,

My advice is to use Host Profile to change the root account password for the ESXi hosts.

Currently, our 38 vsphere 4.0 hosts have their own unique root passwords. First, I would like to change them to the same password, and I would like to be able to change them with a script of some sort. I am not a powershell or PowerCLI user yet, but I plan to. Any help would be appreciated.
