I am in the process of retiring our Windows based vRO servers and have a few workflows which use various local commands. Some of these workflows are moving files around and also opening up files and processing them that live on SMB shares. I'm wondering what the best way of accomplishing this is with the appliance? Moving the files around and deleting them shouldn't be too difficult. I can accomplish this a number of ways fairly simply using the guest operations or a powershell host. In the cases where I am actually modifying the files I'm guessing it isn't as straight forward. Right now I am thinking I will either need to rewrite my processing in Powershell or pull the file to the vCO server somehow so I can open it and process it then push the changes back. I am just getting a powershell host setup now and I have not used the powershell plugin in the past so I am not 100% familiar with its capabilities.
