Disappearing output filters!

I'm an Aria / vROps newbie and have an instance of Aria 8.12.1 (21952151) enterprise with the VMware Horizon Management Pack.

We did some performance tests and I'm now working on reporting the outcomes. I have a dashboard that contains various widgets.

In one of my widgets, which is a metric chart, I am using an Output Filter to filter out some data.

After doing a save I get the expected results but each time I attempt to edit the widget the filter is broken!

I've tried Chrome and Firefox but the situation is the same. It's quite annoying so any help greatly appreciated 🙂

Cheers,
Greg

I have the same version. Can you fully describe which widget you are trying? Then I can test it with my setup as we also have Horizon and the same Aria Ops.

Hi @KabirAli82,

Thanks for getting back to me 🙂 Below are screenshots from editing the Widget. The Widget is one of many on this Dashboard.

As you can see here the output filter property is missing

After entering the required pool and the start of the username, domain.local\user00, I can save the Widget and see the data.

When I next edit the widget I have to re-enter the data!

I get the same issue with these Widgets, which are all configured with an identical output filter...

But these ones, which are also configured with an identical output filter, do not have the issue!

Any help gratefully received 🙂

Cheers,

Thanks for the screenshots. I was able to follow nicely and the settings are saved without an issue. Which version of the Horizon MP are you using? I'm running with 2.6.1.22191615.

Hi,
I have VMware Aria Operations Version: 8.14.0 (22610776) with MP VMware Horizon Version: 2.6.0.21524266.

I had a similar error going to look up user sessions. Maybe it can help you. The session-related widgets, from what I've seen, only work if the user is logged in at that time. The moment the user logs out all the metrics jump.

I can recommend that you plug into a pool and test with your login user and see what happens.

Let me know.

Fabio
