Hi
new to VROPS here
can Vrealize operation manager be used as an end to end monitoring solution?
including OS monitoring, network etc. ?
thanks,
With every monitoring tool, it has its own way of monitoring. And that suits you or not. 🙂
I think with an enterprise license you can get pretty far with vROps. Most of the stuff can be done OOB. For services you can leverage the custom script feature of vROps.

vROps is a monitoring solution, so yes! 🙂
Seriously, what are you trying to monitor? Cuz your question is vague...
thanks @KabirAli82
sorry for being vague
Im trying to understand if vrops is a complete monitoring solution similar to (nagios, SCOM, zabbix etc) I need to monitor all our servers, network, web farms, databases, OS win + Linux, services on the OS as well as synthetic monitoring, external web addresses availability monitoring.
we need to replace our monitoring product with a product that can view our environment and do the connections between systems and servers, display helpful dashboards, be fun to manage,
the thing is that I have the license for vrops Ent edition, Im trying to understand if it woth my time to dive deep into this product and start reading manuals.
also if you know of a good source of information other then vmware documentation please let me know
thanks 🙂
