BootCamp icon in tray when in VM -- is it normal?

Is it normal, when I'm using VMware based on my BootCamp partition, that the BootCamp icon should appear in the system tray? The VMware Tools icons is there, too. I just wonder if both are supposed to be active simultaneously, and if there's anything I can do to prevent BootCamp's services from running (or if it's necessary to do so).

Thanks

Jeremy

Yes this is normal. I haven't seen an issue to date where the Boot Camp stuff causes problems while running that Boot Camp partition in a VM. So, I wouldn't worry about it.

Pat,

Actually there \*may* be influences...I looked at a dump file from someone who gets a blue screen while using the function keys[/url]...and it looks like the Apple keyboard driver for Boot Camp caused the crash.

Granted....if so, this was only one example so far...

Ciao, Andreas
