Deleting Snapshots

I was trying to delete snapshots to free up disk space. I quickly hit cancel when the cleaning up deleted files dialog came up because I was afraid that I had accidently hit load snapshot rather then delete. Now my disk space is still not free and can't delete it! I have orphan files somewhere that are taking up all the space, and I really would appreciate any help from someone who has had this issue.. thanks

Isaac

Try taking another snapshot and deleting it - this should have the side effect of cleaning up the ghost snapshot.

unfortunately that doesn't work. Each time it cleans up deleted files it only cleans the space for the snapshot currently being deleted. This is an overlooked issue i think. terribly inconvenient...

How much free space do you have on the Mac, and how big is the virtual disk? If you don't have enough space (potentially as much as the size of the virtual disk), disk consolidation will fail.
