Is it possible to run Fusion as a daemon that makes the VM available to all users when fast user switching? I'd like to run Windows in Unity mode and make it available to my family as we switch around using fast user switching.
OSX 10.5.1 - Fusion 1.1.
Thanks.
No, to do so requires you to store the VM's in a location visible to all users (it isn't by default), and you'll need to stop the VM in one session before you start it in the second VM. Wish it was different, but that's the way it works today.
Thanks, getwired.
It's too bad running this as some sort of daemon couldn't solve this.
How about "remote" control of the running session via remote desktop or VNC? Depending on your goals this might be sufficient.
That should work, except you won't get Unity mode.
