Limit Access to VM Applications for Mac Users

I am a new user of Fusion. I am using intel based iMac and have setup Windows XP and installed some applications like games etc in VM. How can I restrict Users from accessing some applications on this VM? I want to use parental control to restrict these applications, is it possible?

Short answer: I don't think so. You'll need some parental control software in the guest.

Long answer: Fusion's view of the guest is very low-level -- we don't see programs or files, we see machine instructions and data blocks. This makes it a little difficult to tell what's running, much less restrict it Smiley Happy We can get around this a bit with Tools (e.g. this is why Unity can recognize applications), but blocking applications is not currently something we do.

You'd have to set access rights in the VM itself. Do it just like you would on Windows XP running on a physical machine.
