New install, cannot convert Boot Camp partition to virtual disk

I have a new install of Leopard 10.5.1 and a fresh, complete install of Windows Vista Business through Boot Camp. I just installed VMware Fusion 1.1.1. When I launch VMware Fusion and select the Boot Camp partition, click "Run", and enter my password, all I get is:

Error: Cannot open the disk '/Users/wheatwil/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp/%2Fdev%2Fdisk0/Boot Camp partition.vmwarevm/Boot Camp partition.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. Reason: The file specified is not a virtual disk.

That's one long error message.

I had been using the same system under Tiger successfully for several months, so I know how this is supposed to work.

What do I need to configure to get this thing working?

Sorry, please disregard. I found my error. VMware was trying to start with the configuration file from the previous installation on Tiger. I did not have a completely clean install.
