Hey guys, I hope im not missing something obvious but I cant seem to
get my Razer Mamba mouse software, or WindowsXP, to "see" the mouse
connected to my Virtual Machine.
The Razer software can see the
mouse and works perfectly fine if the mouse is attached to a physical
windows machine but none of the VMs can see it when the mouse as
attached to the Mac. I believe it has to do with Fusion just emulating
whatever mouse is connected through Leopard and not actually passing
through the mouse to the XP VM.... Under the USB devices menu, Fusion
only displays the apple ir receiver and the apple camera.
Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Correct. Windows thinks it has a generic wheel mouse, not a Razer Mamba or whatever, so your mouse software doesn't think it has anything to talk to. Since USB devices can only be controlled by one OS at a time, by default, Fusion filters out input devices from the menu (or else you might get stuck in the virtual machine). If you really want, you can override this restriction (see the USB HID section in ), which should allow all the mouse functionality to work. However, you probably want to have another one for the host.
usb.generic.allowHID = "TRUE"
added to the *.vmx file and XP recognized and installed the correct Razer drivers. The Razer Config Utility worked perfectly for about 5 seconds before the Utility said the mouse had disconnected... It looks as if the utulity sees the mouse and then the mouse for some reason disconnects after anywhere between 1 and 10 seconds. (but the mouse is still usable and moves around) Strange...
Maybe the MacBook Pro trackpad/mouse is messing with the Fusion USB mouse control?
