This issue is officially solved with Apple’s macOS 10.14.6 supplemental update.
Thanks to all of you.
A thumb down to Apple’s software team...
————————
After I upgraded my 2 MBP to 10.14.6, all of the Windows VMs became extremely slow and stuck at the login screen...
The VMs are set to use TPM, I don't know if it's relevant.
Anyone came across the same situation?
Now I cannot continue my work...really frustrating...
—————20190727————-
I’m updating this for convenient reference.
Status: This issue has not been solved yet.
Many users encountered this issue which leads to completely unusable of VMs.
And we got some replies from Fusion developers, you could help developers identify issues by replying your hardware models/is disk encrypted or have the VM encrypted etc.
We have some reports that some users found out that if set the memory of VM to 2G could help.
Re: VM became extremely slow after upgraded to macOS 10.14.6
If you don’t need to use much memory and can work with it, you might try set the memory to 2G, or maybe less than 4G is also okay?
Still we are waiting for an official solution.

Re: VM became extremely slow after upgraded to macOS 10.14.6
I updated to Fusion 11.1.1, confirmed that I can login to the system, and desktop shows normally.
As ksc says, it is a workaround which I'm not quite sure if I can trust it to do my work in it....
At least, I'm able to get my works out and change to other options now.
I'll mark this issue as resolved for now, but keep the [Workaround Released] tag in the subject.
Looks like it would take quite some time for a real fix, I'll keep an eye on this.

Same problem here after the latest OSX update. VMware Fusion Version 11.1.0 (13668589)
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)
2,6 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4,
Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
external HP monitor, HDMI connected via inateck usb-c hub
VM: Windows 10 1903, 4 CPU, 6GB, 80GB HDD
No TPM or encryption used, disk split into multiple files.
Sometimes Windows becomes completely unresponsive. Switching between the OSX desktop and the fullscreen VM also looks broken most of the time, the transition is not smooth anymore and the picture gets distorted.
It is not just encrypted VMs, because mine is not encrypted. No TPM. I am seeing intermittent freezes rather than the overall slowness that other users are reporting.
UPDATE: I deleted all the snapshots from my virtual disk and did not see this behavior anymore. Smooth sailing for a couple of hours, then the intermittent freezes came back.
Hi all,
Thank you for reporting this performance issue with macOS 10.14.6. We are doing investigation and trying to root cause it. For folks having the same issue, could you help to clarify following information:
1. is the impacted VM encrypted?
2. is macOS 10.14.6 disk encrypted?
3. your hardware information, for example, MBP 2017, 2018.
Thanks,
VMware Fusion Team
I'm having this problem.
1. is the impacted VM encrypted?
A. No
2. is macOS 10.14.6 disk encrypted?
A. Yes but same problem on external SDD which is not encrypted.
3. your hardware information, for example, MBP 2017, 2018.

Same issue here: MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)
Updgraded to macOS Mojave 10.14.6 on 7/23/19.
Windows 10 VM now hangs every 30 seconds or so for 5-10 seconds. It does not hang if I'm remotely connected to a server. Only when doing tasks on the local Windows 10 computer.
Very difficult to work with.

3. your hardware information, for example, MBP 2017, 2018. - MBP 2017
Does vmware not hear about upcoming MacOS updates and can't test, or do you hear and don't test? Seems like there are enough issues that happen after a new MacOS update that the testing processes aren't the most robust.

When the fix will be released? I can't work 😞
Can we get a formal response from VMware on a fix and estimated timing? At this moment I am unable to work as well. My Windows 10 VM will boot, but becomes basically unresponsive after that.
