WMware Fusion 7 or Boot Camp

Hello, I am going to install Windows 10 Tech Preview on my Mac. So I am trying to fugure out if I should use Boot Camp or a virtual machine.

I would also like to install some software from a CD onto windows, and I have to use the SuperDrive since I don't have an internal Disc reader.

I have 2 questions about this,

1. Will I be able to use the SuperDrive in Boot Camp?

2. When starting up from a Boot Camp Partition in Fusion, does it duplicate the partition to the virtual machine on my Mac partition?

Unless you do not care what happens to your Mac then I would not install Windows Technical Preview in Boot Camp.  It's not supported and it beta code.  Make sure you're backed up before doing so! Smiley Wink  Or you could just create a normal file based Virtual Machine instead and install it there.

Anyway to answer your questions... 1 It works with the supported versions of Windows, so I'd think yes... 2 No, it creates a meta-data virtual hard disk that's pointing to the physical partition.
