Hi,
I recently upgraded my mac OS to 10.9.5. Since then my Windows VM is not starting...Was working fine until i did the upgrade. Getting an error:
VMware Fusion cannot connect to the virtual machine.
Make sure you have rights to run the program, access all directories the program uses, and access all directories for temporary files
Appreciate your help on this regard.
Thanks,
balaji
Have you repaired permissions in disk utility?
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I did. Seems like its behaving weirdly after the OS update 10.9.5...Could be wrong..!
Thanks
Balaji

Appreciate any help on this...
Thanks,

This is permission issue for sure.
Need to find out in what level the user info need to be updated.
Try out the steps recommended here
Checking permissions for Virtual Machine
I believe the permission on the vmx file ( configuration file of VM ) may have to be updated. Did you change your user account name after upgrade?
Thanks for your suggestion. I did not change anything on this system. I even tried to change the permission and also opened the permission....Still no luck....;-(
