Technically, there is no trial version of VMware Fusion! What one downloads is the fully functional GA release version of VMware Fusion and its only limitation is when using the free 30 day trial serial number... it expires... vs a normal online purchased serial number or the serial number that comes with a boxed copy which doesn't expire in 30 days. 
Just enter the serial number from the purchased copy and that is all you need to do.
