move a virtual machine from VMware Server to VMware Fusion ?

I have a windows xp pro guest os running in a VMware Server virtual machine

on a linux host. Can I move this vm to VMware Fusion ?

and vica versa ?

Yes, with some caveats. See : Sharing a Virtual Machine Between Platforms, and note that Server 1.x used the same virtual hardware version as Workstation 5.
