Windows VM provisioned but networking disconnected

Hello folks,

I have a VIO 2.0 installation, provisioning service works fine, but the networking service even when it goes and grabs an IP out of the DHCP in the subnet defined for the network, but the NIC appears to be disconnected in Vpshere if I try to connect it manually editing the settings it fails telling me that it can't be modify but in the VIO console.

You got give more details:

What networking are you using vDS or NSXv?

If you are using DVS, have you created the provider networks? (scrn shot of the "Horizon --> network topology" view from the tenant would be useful)

Create a new instance. Paste the UUID of that instance along with the viogetlogs (its deprecated but should work... with sudo on OMS)

If you are not using a syslog server please do so. There are lot of logs and it will save you a lot of time to analyze these errors.

once you login to the OMS server and run get logs, then attach those as well. also mention the UUID of VM that is not getting the IP.

thanks
