I've been experimenting with adding a hardware gateway device to NSX 6.4.1. I had an old NSX supported H3C/HPE 5930 switch lying around that I attached to my datacenter spine switch with access to NSX.
I was able to add the switch to NSX in Service Definitions/Hardware Devices, but now I cannot delete it.
I can see it on all three of my NSX controllers as well but the controllers only have "show" access and no way to delete it.

nsx-controller #
I've redeployed two of my three controllers but they just seem to sync up again after redeploying the new ones.
I have the support logs that I've downloaded from a controller that I can reference if someone can point me to the right log file.
Can someone tell me where to delete this configuration on the controllers/manager?
The only way is touching DB but that is the GSS way only : (
Hi maulermark,
I believe I've run into this once in the past. It was due to a bug where the TOR UUID is mismatched between NSX Manager and the control cluster. Unfortunately, as Raymundo mentioned, DB cleanup is required to remove the hardware gateway. It would probably be best to open an SR with VMware GSS to have a look at the required tables.
Regards,
Mike
