- We had Primary SD-WAN activated with post testing completed.
- When we tried to implement HA active/standby for Cold spare, this started causing issues with activation and primary Edge communication. We even performed hard reset of both Edges but still couldn’t get SD-WAN operational.
- We disabled HA setting and only had primary Edge connected to LAN, but still couldn’t get SD-WAN operational.
- We finally had to backout of the change. This site is up and operational without SD-WAN.
The reason why the team wanted to activate the cold spare is so that, should there be an issue with the primary device, the secondary device would be plug-and-play.
Please advise what we could do differently on the next attempt to make the change successful and the goal reached (that the cold spare is configured).
