OS : Windows XP Pro sp2

Incidentally tried VMware Player last night.
Everything turned out very well.
But it was carried out on top of another virtualization already existing in my computer.
Question :
Can the VM virtualization be re-stored into another partition or a flash-disk ?
How if it can be done?
