It may be easier to decide for a product that can be most leveraged for the features of an operating system like availability of application,storage; consolidation;high availability;logging;security;resource optimization besides the legacy features and also hosts all the popular os's and applications available. standards based good platform to port existing applications, write new applications for easy maintainability,agility.Cut most of the operational costs and increase efficiency of developing new applications.
