deleting a virtual machine

Hi,

I would like to destroy a virtual machine I created. Is it enough to delete the folder containing the configuration file and the virtual disk file?

By destroying the folder do I retrieve and free all the memory that was preallocated tothe virtual machine?

or is there some other operation I sould do to really delete the virtual machine?
