Automatically connect USB device upon VM startup

Hi.

Host: WinXP SP3 / Workstation 7.1.2

VM: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server

I have an USB device, which I would like to connect on a VM as soon as I startup this VM.

Until now, I always had to select "Connect (Disconnect from Host)" manually in the Status Bar.

How can configure this VM to always use this particular USB device?

Hi.

I still didn't find any solution for this, but I do need to get these USB devices connected when VM ware starts up.

Does nobody know an answer to this, or is aurto USB connect of a removable device not possible for VMware?
