I am using Vista x64 SP1 with VMWare Workstation 6.0.5 on a computer with 2 NICs:
Ethernet card that is not wired - I don't have the opportunity to connect this card (Bridge service is disabled)
Wireless Ethernet adapter (AR5005GS) (Bridge service is enabled)
VMWare virtual network vmnet0 is set to Wireless Ethernet Adapter.
Everything works OK, except on guest (Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008) I can't access the host. Ping is responding as "Destination host unreachable" from guest IP address.
Guest network connection is set to vmnet0. I can use internet and connect to any other computer on my LAN on host and guest. I can also connect from host to guest!!!
Over NAT everything is working OK!
Firewall are disabled on host and guest. Also IP's, masks, gateway on host and guest are setup correctly.
How to solve the problem for bridged networking? Is it possible?
Thanks for help!
Post the output from "ipconfig /all" (Windows) or " ifconfig -a" (Linux) from both the host and the guest OS
Post the .vmx file from the virtual machine.
Details of how your host is connected to the network / Internet (Cable Modem, DSL, Router, Switch, Wired, Wireless,...).
Thank you for answer!
