Having trouble installing VMtools in Xubuntu 7.04 guest!

Anyone have any advise on installing VMtools on a Xubuntu 7.04 guest OS?

It is running in VMware workstation 6.0.0.

Once you select "VM" -> "Install VMware Tools" the linux.iso image should be mounted on the desktop, if not you may have to manually mount the ISO image and copy the tar file to your /tmp to extract and install
